過年好

You probably need Chinese/Asian Language support on to view this entry. But to some up, Guonian hao, gong hei fat xoi. Happy New Year, may it be prosperous! 過年好! 恭喜發財 Guonian Hao! Gong Hei Fat Xoi! Happy New Year. Congratulations and may it be prosperous for you! I don’t know if any of you celebrate it or anything, but Lunar New year is when I start activley working on the resolutions I made at new year and didn’t manage all too well. Basically the time before new year to Chinese new year to me, is time to ease in to the resolutions. [More specifically, the resolutions that involve life style changes, because you can’t jump in to these things, you have to ease in to them.] 新 年快乐 is also used for new year. But 過年好 is usually used in the north and/or when someone wishes to show the difference between the lunar new year and the calender new year. In this case, I use 過年好 Due to being English and wishing to distinguish, as I celebrate calender New year, too. :) Sorry if this makes no sense. XD And its pretty much the limit to my Chinese knowledge outside of general greetings. Have a great new year. Or just a great next few days if you don’t celebrate it. XD [ READ MORE ]
